Dear Parents,
Another month is coming to an end! It is almost unbelievable that this school year will be coming to a close in just one short month. We will have lots going on this last month, so let me give you a countdown checklist to help us all through this time:
- Today the menus for May are going out, so please be sure to return them Friday morning with payment. No credits will be issued for uneaten lunches in May, so be sure to order for only the days your child will be in attendance.
- Come by the school to go through the lost and found if your child is missing anything.
- Yearbooks are still available for order. Each book is 64 pages of memories in color and sells for only $30. Yearbooks will arrive in May.
- Send in enrollment papers and registration fee if your child will be returning for the 2012-13 school year. Classes are filling more quickly this year than ever, so please be sure to secure a spot for your child.
- Book and Supply fees must be paid by May 18th for the coming school year. Students in grades PK 3 – 6th will pay $155 and ACE junior high and high school students will pay $200.
- All current accounts must be brought up to date by May 10th except for the final daycare bill which will be sent home on May 18th.

Dear Parents,
We have had a very quiet week as the first through eleventh grade students took the Stanford tests. We were so grateful that students were dropped off in time, and that they were prepared to test. These achievement tests are an important tool to help us evaluate not only how much students have learned, but how well our curriculum prepares our students compared to others nationally. Although some students struggle with test taking of this type, we still find the test useful to give us a general idea of their progress from year to year. Thank you parents for being diligent to get your students here on time and ready.
ACE will be sponsoring another FREEDOM FRIDAY tomorrow night as they continue to raise money for their year-end trip to Houston. Tomorrow’s fun night has a beach party theme and will go from 5:00 – 9:00 p.m. Activities will include parachute volleyball, limbo, hula hoop and a water balloon toss contest with prizes for the winners. They will also be viewing “Chipwrecked”, the latest Alvin and the Chipmunks movie and will be served pizza, drinks and cupcakes. ACE students and staff members will be on hand to supervise the children. This is not only a very FUN evening for your child, but a real bargain. Cost is $20 for the first child in your family and $10 for each additional child. Please call the office tomorrow morning if you would like your child to participate.
ENROLLMENT FOR 2013-13 is going strong. TOMORROW is the last day you can preregister for next year and receive a FREE 2011-12 yearbook valued at $30. Please turn in your registration form and payment tomorrow to take advantage of this offer.
As the school year comes to a close, I need to remind parents that all accounts must be paid in full for students to receive report cards and Stanford test results. If a student leaves the school with an unpaid balance, no records will be released to another school until the balance is paid in full. All unpaid accounts will be referred to collections as well. Please help us to keep the school healthy by paying for the services you have received this school year. Thank you!

Dear Parents,
We were so blessed to have so many of you with us last Thursday when we had our Flowers for the Cross assembly. The cross was so beautiful as we added the flowers the children brought. They were excited to be a part of decorating the cross and participating in the service. We extend our sincere thanks to Lori Medrano and Ron De Palma for making our celebration so special.
Stanford Achievement Tests will be administered to students in 1st through 11th grades beginning on Tuesday, April 17th. Students MUST BE ON TIME. Any student arriving after 8:10 WILL NOT be allowed to go to class but will be held in the office until the teacher lets us know that the first test is completed. The student may then go to class to begin the second test. PLEASE BE SURE YOUR CHILDREN HAVE A GOOD NIGHT’S REST, EAT A HEALTHY BREAKFAST, AND ARRIVE ON TIME. Each student should have three #2 pencils and a good eraser.
These tests are used to show how much progress your child has made in a school year, and where our students stand nationally. We would like each student to be present for all tests!
We have had little problem with students bringing toys to school and then accusing others of stealing them. The rule is that toys should not be brought to school unless they are allowed by the teacher for SHOW AND TELL. They are NOT to be played with during breaks, etc. If students bring toys to school for any other reason, they will be confiscated and held in the office. Please be sure your children do not bring toys or other items to school that may be misplaced or stolen.
God bless the families of MVCS!
