Send to friendDear Parents, We have sure been having fun with the weather this week. We never know if it is going to be hot or cold and for how long. You send your kids bundled up to protect them from the frigid weather, and by break time they are abandoning their coats like a second skin. If your child didn’t make it home with a piece of outerwear this week, please come check our lost and found. PTO is sending home the tickets for another ELKS Dinner. This time they are serving spaghetti on Wednesday, March 24th from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. You may dine in or take out. I am sure you remember the delicious chicken dinner plates we helped them sell, which earned almost $1300 for the school. This is a great fundraiser for us because our ONLY responsibility is to sell the tickets. The ELKs do all of the other work, and then serve us a great meal. Please help us by selling the tickets. The PTO is offering prizes to the class who sells the most. If you are unable or unwilling to sell the Spaghetti Dinner tickets, please return them to the school immediately so those who are able may sell them. Money for the tickets will be due by Friday, March 19th. Thanks for your help!! February is over and March will be here Monday. Let me remind you that the Board has called a special election for Monday, March 8th to fill some open Board positions. Please plan to attend that meeting to cast your vote for the nominees whose bios I sent home recently. If you cannot attend the meeting, then please stop by the school office to get a proxy with which you may allow another parent to cast your vote for you. As I have said in previous newsletters, Western Day will be held on March 12, and will be a half day of school. We are planning to pack LOTS of fun into that half day! Spring Break will run from March 15 – 19. We appreciate you all, and thank you again for trusting us with your children. They are a blessing!
