Send to friendDear Parents, Our DONUTS FOR DAD last Friday was a huge success! We were so excited to have such a large turn-out for this event, and I know the children enjoyed spending some quality time with the important adults in their lives!!! Thanks to Mari Gomez, Myra Belcher, Melanie Wilson, and Ms. Rosie for helping to make Donuts for Dad a special day for our students and their families. Valentine’s Day was especially SWEET this year. A river of chocolate seemed to be flowing through MVCS, and by the end of the day, we could tell our kids were wired! I was glad to see on Tuesday that you all had survived the three day weekend despite the extra sugar your children came home with! Coach Berina will be hosting our annual JUMPROPE FOR HEART during our P.E. classes on Friday, Feb. 19th. Students in Kinder through 6th grade have been given an explanation letter, and were asked to find people to sponsor them as they jump rope during class. All money raised will be donated to the American Heart Association. Children will receive prizes based on the amount of donations they are able to raise through these sponsorships. Please be sure your child returns his/her envelope to Coach Berina by Friday. As I stated last week, Friday, March 12 we will be having our annual Western Day. Our PTO Moms discussed this event during last Tuesday’s meeting, and we came up with some really good ideas. If anyone else would like to share their ideas, please feel free to do so. It takes all of us working together to make these activities extra special for our children. We are going to need quite a number of you to come to help supervise and assist the teachers that day. School will let out at noon that day, and the following week will be SPRING BREAK! Today marks the end of the 4th six weeks, so report cards will come out on Wednesday for students in Kinder – 6th grades. Have a blessed weekend!
