Dear Parents,               October is quickly coming to a close and we are really gearing up for our annual Fall Festival.  In addition to our carnival, we are going to be selling raffle tickets to help raise funds.  The raffle will have a first prize of a 42” LCD TV, second prize is a Dell Inspiron Laptop PC, and third prize is a large John Deere Wagon.  Tickets will sell for $20 and there will only be 500 sold.  We are asking our parents to participate by selling tickets to their family and friends.  Tickets will be sent out next week.  If you do not wish to help, please return the tickets immediately so others may sell them.               Thanks to those of you who have already started sending in your 2 liter soda and candy donations.  We are so looking forward to having a great time at our Fall Festival!               We had our fire drill on Tuesday morning, and our staff members and children did a wonderful job exiting the building in an orderly and quick manner.  They really enjoyed the presentation made last Friday by Manuel Varela of the Weslaco Fire Prevention Office.  It was fun and informative!  They especially loved touring the fire truck!  Thank you Mr. Varela.                All of our students enjoyed the ACE Junior High vs. 5th/6th Grade volleyball game on Friday.  Both teams did a really good job, and all showed good sportsmanship.  Go Mustangs!               Please remember that TOMORROW Cherished Moments will be here to take Pumpkin Patch pictures for those of you who are interested.  Please remember to send back the payment envelope so that we know which children are going to have pictures taken.  Some of you have asked if siblings may be photographed together, and the answer to that is YES.  Please be sure to dress your child in the clothing in which you wish them to be photographed.  You may send a change of clothing if you would like.     Have a wonderful weekend!
