Parent Letter 1/7
Dear Parents, HAPPY NEW YEAR! I pray you had a wonderful holiday break but that you are glad to have your children back in school! We are sure glad to have them, and they got right back in the groove this week! With this cooler weather, we are reminded that we have a number of sweaters and jackets that have not been claimed here at the school. If you are missing anything, please come by the office to see if we have it. January is usually a quieter month than our frantic December was. We will be having our first PTO meeting of the year next Tuesday at 6:30 here in the assembly room. If one of your New Year’s resolutions was to be more active in your child’s school (hint, hint), this would be a great chance for you to start! We will be discussing activities and fundraisers for the second semester. ALSO, the School Board will have its regularly scheduled meeting on Monday, Jan. 11, and we are still looking for people to serve on the Board. This school continues to be strong because we have had so many dedicated parents serve on the Board throughout the years. If you believe in Christian education, and want to help insure that we have a Christian school to send our children to for years to come, PLEASE consider serving on the School Board. Please talk to me if you would like more details concerning Board membership. Back to the weather – We have received several calls asking if we will be having school on Friday due to the possibility of a freeze. That decision has not been made as of now, but I am sure the Board will make that decision if need be. Please be sure to tune into Channel 5 on Friday morning as I will call and asked them to announce our closing in the event that becomes necessary. We are very concerned about the safety of our families, and will keep that in mind! Remember that lunch menus MUST be turned in on Friday mornings before 9:00 a.m.!Have a blessed and SAFE weekend!
