The main purpose of a school is to educate. We feel an obligation, responsibility and privilege to provide the very best education possible. An education is the only gift we can give our children that no one can take away.
Pre-Kinder and Kinder students learn letter and number recognition, social skills, computer education, and are instructed in music and art. At MVCS we follow the A Beka* curriculum. It provides curriculum and support with a Christian viewpoint. Students in grades First through Sixth have instruction in reading, phonics, spelling, grammar, creative writing, Bible, math, science, social studies, handwriting, health and physical education, as well as a variety of additional areas of instruction: computer education, music, and art. Students are expected to put their studies first, ahead of any extracurricular activities, though we do not discourage these outside activities.
Students in grades 7 through 12 will use the Accelerated Christian Education curriculum and will take diagnostic tests to determine the level of curriculum in which they will be placed.
A parent orientation dealing with school policy as well as the curriculum will be scheduled and must be attended prior to the beginning of each school year.
