Crystal Flores's Class

About me: Hello! My name is Crystal Flores and I am one of the Pre-K3 teachers here at MVCS. This is my first year teaching here and I am excited about this new opportunity to be apart of the MVCS family, where children excel academically and also learn about God. I love teaching, especially the young ones; there's never a dull moment and they always put a smile on your face.

Well we are already at the end of April. Can you believe we are almost all the way through with the school year? Needless to say I have been blessed with a wonderful group of students this year. They have come a long way since the year first day began. May I also mention that I have been blessed with great and supportive parents. This week in Pre-K 3 we introduce the last letter in the Alphabet, the letter Zz. The children enjoyed practicing letter sounds especially with the letter Zz. We wrapped up our Spring Time and Plants section and are ready to dive into the Deep Blue Sea. The Ocean will be the theme for the month of May. Starting next week we will be reviewing everything the children have been taught throughout the year. Don't forget to register your children for the 2012-2013 school year. Slots are filling up fast. If you would like to speak with me concerning your child's progress and next year's placement feel free to contact me so that we may schedule a parent/teacher conference. I would like to wish Isabella O'Loughlin a very HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!! Thank you for bringing in cupcakes for the entire class so that we could celebrate your birthday! Happy Happy Birthday. Thank You Parents for all you do! Have a great weekend! ~Mrs. Flores & Mrs. Zuniga~
Preschool Newsletter- April 19, 2012 Whew!! It's been quite a week. Actually it's been a very Q-U-I-E-T week. Since the older children in the building were taking their Stanford Acheivement Exams, Pre-K children had to be very quiet. Luckily we had practiced staying silent the week before. The children did well keeping quiet in the hallways. This week the children had fun learning about insects and their many contributions to the environment. They learned that some insects are not as mean as they've been perceived to be. Their favorite thing to learn was transformation of caterpillar into a butterfly. X and Y were the two letters learned this week. Next week we will introduce the letter Z and we will be done with the Alphabet. How exciting! We've already gone through the entire Alphabet. However, we will continue to review the Alphabet all the way through to the end of the year. Tomorrow we will talk about the Earth and the many things we can do to help our environment. Reminders: * Tomorrow our ACE students will be having Freedom Friday. Freedom Friday is a fundraiser put on by our ACE students and ACE staff members. A flyer was sent home with your child. If you are interested in having your child attend Freedom Friday feel free to call the school and reserve your spot. Thank you~Mrs. Flores & Mrs. Zuniga
Preschool Newsletter-May 18,2012 Wow! This year flew by so quickly. We are already at the end of the school year. The children have grown and learned so much throughout their first year in school! How amazing is that? The children have become like our very own. We have certainly grown to love them. Next week we will be having some activities for the children as we bring the school year to a close. On Wednesday, May 23 we will be having our End of The Year Party and on Thursday, May 24 we will be having Bubble Day for the children. The last day of school is Thursday, May 24 and it will be an early release day unless your child attends Daycare. Dont forget Our End of The Year Program on Tuesday, May 22 at First Baptist Church in Weslaco. Have a great weekend! -Mrs. Flores & Mrs. Zuniga
