Pre-Kinder 4 applicants must be four (4) years old on or before September 1st of the year of entrance.

Kinder 5 applicants must be five (5) years old on or before September 1st of the year of entrance.

First Grade applicants must be six (6) years old on or before September 1st of the year of entrance.

First through Twelfth grade students must supply records indicating successful completion of the preceding year’s class work. New students will also need to be tested by the MVCS staff to assure correct placement. Final decisions regarding placement rest with the MVCS Board, based in large part on teacher/principal recommendation.

For enrollment into MVCS PK and elementary program, certain steps must be taken before an application is complete:

1. A completed application form must be submitted to the MVCS principal.
2. A birth certificate must accompany new students.
3. An immunization record indicating the child has been properly immunized against rubella, measles, polio, diphtheria, tetanus, hepatitis A and B, and whopping cough must be submitted before school starts. All students must have a TB test prior to entry to MVCS, and a new TB test every five (5) years thereafter.
4. A check payable to Mid-Valley Christian School (MVCS) in the amount of $150.00 (deposit) must accompany the application. The deposit is non-refundable.

Students currently enrolled in MVCS will be given first opportunity to register for the following year. A space WILL NOT be reserved AFTER the cut-off date, at which time enrollment will be opened to the public and classes will be filled on a first come, first served basis.

Students interested in enrolling in 7th through 12th grades need to submit the following:

1. Birth certificate
2. Updated immunization record
3. Report card from previous school
4. Letter from student stating why they wish to attend Mid Valley Christian School
5. Letter of reference from student’s pastor, youth pastor, former teacher, or other adult who has known the child and personally observed their behavior
6. Discipline Report from former school (If necessary, MVCS will obtain this information for you.)
7. Registration Fee must be included with application. If your child is not accepted into the A.C.E. program for any reason, this fee will be returned.
8. Student and parents will meet with the School Board for a brief interview.

Enrollment Limit

In accordance with the Constitution and By-laws of MVCS, the size of each class is limited “to provide sound scholarship”. Classes are filled to a maximum limit of 20 students. Any deviation from this limit would require special permission from the School Board.

Waiting List

A waiting list of students desiring enrollment in MVCS will be maintained in the office. Parents of those students will be notified of registration by mail. An enrollment application and cover letter will be sent informing the family of the specific date by which the application and registration fee should be sent to the office to assure enrollment in MVCS for the following school year. If the Director is not contacted by the specific date, it will be assumed a position is no longer desired, and those next in line will be contacted in like manner. It is the responsibility of the parents of students on the waiting list to notify the principal of any change of address or phone.
